National Fire Prevention Week Open House

On October 14, 2018 the membership of the Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District Opened their doors to the public for National Fire Prevention Month, the membership took time to speak with the public about safety in their daily lives. The day was full of fun and exciting for all ages with the many agencies, trainings and demonstrations. Police Agencies include The New York State Police K-9 Unit, The Saratoga County Sheriffs Office, and The Town of Waterford Police Department. EMS Agencies included Waterford Rescue Squad Inc., Clifton Park Halfmoon Emergency Corps. and LifeNet New York who provided a Emergency Transport Helicopter landing for tours. Additionally The Firemen's Association of The State of New York (FASNY) provided their public relations truck and interactive digital fire extinguisher training equipment for the day to provide a realistic function of a in home fire extinguisher in action.
